Got my new to me SA TRP home tonight and broke it down to clean it. I watched several videos on YouTube so I'd be good and ready when I got it out of jail. Everything went great and I avoided the dreaded idiot scratch, but now it's making a sound that I don't think it made before disassembly.
The best way I can describe the noise is its like corduroy pants rubbing together "sweesh sweesh sweesh". I noticed that the guide rod is textured and I'm sure that's what is making the noise but I'm feeling like it's something I did that caused it.
I'm probably going to replace the full length guide rod so I can have tool-less assembly but want to shoot the gun this weekend in its current configuration. Tips? Advice?
