    Sig P229

With all the different P229 models offered by Sig, which one would you choose? I'm talking only current productions. Personally, I/m leaning toward the P229 SAS Gen2 It's got the short trigger, SRT, and E2 grips.

I would pick the one with the beaver tail.

I like the 357SIG 229 DAK as the best all around defensive gun for carry.

I think the SAS contouring went a bit overboard in the rounding, the Short Trigger causes my trigger finger to cramp in SA, the E2 grips force my hand too far down on the frame, and I don't like the 3-dot night sights. I can take or leave the SRT, as I don't ride my trigger forward

I'm a fan of the P229R enhanced elite

It's like the SAS with the e2 and srt but with the beaver tail, rail, and front slide serrations

Yep, enhanced elite. Nice beavertail, comes with Short Reset Trigger already installed and night sights. I love mine.

All the same +/- dodads ~ Disregard the hype and find the 229 of your liking at the best price!

Any of them with the SRT will be good.

Love my P229 Enhanced Elite (comes w/ beaver tail, SRT, SIG nite sites, E2 grips and picatinny rails). Having said that, my next gun will be full size (non-compact) - perhaps the P226 or P226 X5.

When I was in the market for a P229, nothing on the Roster appealed to me. So I saved up a little more and SSE'd a Stainless Elite:

^^^ this, but see if you can get it without the loaded chamber indicator.

I had one and while it shot great couldn't get over the LCI... Will probably pick one up again via SSE but the non CA version.
