Picked it up yesterday... Smith & Wesson Model 28 Highway Patrolman, 4 inch.
Serial number starts with N289... anyone have an idea of when it's from?
Really need to give it a good cleaning. The ejector rod is a bit sticky. Guy at the shop I got it from says it looks like it was probably never shot so it's just old oil gunk making the rod stick.
Is it safe to shoot any .357 in it? I was thinking of .38 +p for defense (shared with my S&W Mod 60) but also wanted to maybe try the Buffalo Bore heavy loads shared with my 1894c.
