I have the opportunity to PPT a Gen 2 Glock 17 that comes with 2 17 round magazines. The seller bought this gun new in 1992 in California. My question: Is it legal for me to buy this Glock with those magazines? Or is it illegal for him to sell the magazines?

You can buy the gun with the 2 magazines as re-build kits (disassembled) and those magazines can only be reassembled and used in states that do not limit capacity. While in CA, they must be disassembled and kept as re-build kits.
