    Bought a buckmark today

10 days until it gets to come home. It's my first non-revolver.

Where's a good place besides WallyWorld for cheap bulk ammo and extra mags?

    Congrates Which Model ?
I am down to 9 days before I pick up my new Buck Mark Contour.
Wally World is best bet for cheap Plinkin' Ammo, Or the next Gun Show.
Mags seem to be the same price no matter where you get them, about 27.00

Pro target. Used consignment. Had a contour too but the target felt better in my hand. Thanks for the ammo and mag info. I guess I'll have to call the Richmond WallyWorld about the ammo. Thanks for the info.

Not sure what the going rate is on 22, but a buddy split a case... 5250 rounds I think with a friend of his at the show for $159. That is a boatload of ammo

Best price for magazines I've seen is CDNN Investments...

          Current price is $22.99 each.

Sometimes you can find 10 packs on the auction sites, but they end up being $20 a piece for a quantity of ten.

            Yet another BARFer on Calguns

Since you can shoot most any .22lr through the Buckmark, I'd just get the cheap stuff at Walmart. I put a box through a friends a few weeks ago and it worked just fine...not a single FTE or FTF.

I still need to wait a few more weeks before I can pick up a new Buckmark - but then it's on!

dittos for CDNN. I have had very good luck with them.
for ammo, watch the local shops for sales. Also online you can find Remington Golden Bullet at a great price sometimes. I just don't do Walmart anymore for so many reasons.

I bought a Buckmark recently and have been very happy with it. The only issue is that it hates bulk boxed ammo. FTE and FTF all over the place with bulk Federal .22 rounds. But then I spilled some of those rounds on a flat glass countertop only to see too many roll like bent axles! No wonder the Buckmark didn't like those!

Use CCI in the plastic box, either standard velocity or minimag. Not a huge price difference and very accurate. And they feed very reliably.

Also, get yourself one of the bulk loaders, the one where you dump a few dozen rounds into a box part of the loader, shake and insert the empty mag. It will slide the rounds into the mag very painlessly. About $25. I got mine from Cheaperthandirt.com.

That was my first handgun, and still my favorite .22

need a red dot scope for that pistol? I got a nice little set up for the buckmark, frame mount and red dot scope that I need to get rid of.

Can't go wrong with ANY buckmark model. After about 8,000 rounds I have no regrets with my Micro Bull.

                      Congrats!!!

Gotta Love a Buckmark! Mine likes the Winchester Super X, X22Lr. Its a 40 gr. copper washed round. Very consistent, very clean (as far as .22LR goes). A little pricey at $25.00 per brick of 500 but in the long run..worth it. HTH c good

Remember to do the 'Heggis' flip with the sear spring with the Buckmark. That'll reduce the trigger pull a lot - mine is down to under 3lbs now.

You definitely don't want that Federal Bulk stuff at Wally World. It may be only $12 for 525 rounds, but it really sucks. Stick with the CCI Mini Mags, or the Winchester Super X. You'll be glad that you did.
