Glock 27 Gen 3

Went to check out a Glock 27 Gen 3 today. Can any of you Glock owners tell me what you like the most and what you don't like about the Glock 27.

Love mine. Can be a little snappy. Other than that, there is nothing I don't like. However, you either like Glocks or you don't. I do use the pinky extension on the mag.

I like everything about it. Conceals well, great caliber. Easy options to drop in a 9mm barrel, or even a .22 conversion.

But, a lot of people can't handle the 2 finger grip and add an extension. IMHO a G23 is a better choice in that case. If you're not certain, G23s are easy to find as rentals. Rent one and shoot a couple hundred rnds using a 2 finger grip, then decide. Personally I shoot the G27 better than my G23 and G22(rip).

Bottom line though, if you aren't buying it as a carry gun I probably wouldn't recommend it only because it gets a little rough to shoot more than 350-400 rnds in a session.

G27 is a great pistol, mine has been flawless.

it's a tack driving little flame thrower
10x180gr rounds is comforting.
it's my least favorite gun at the range
but its also easy to conceal and remarkably easy to
shoot well.
I'm not fond of the recoil however and prefer the 26 9mm
Glock 36 45 and my Gen 4 17 to it any day..

Glock 27 is my daily carry piece. I use the Pierce grip extension base pad on my primary magaine and a G-23 or 22 magazine as my reload (figure all the surpize is outta the bag after I fired 9 rounds anyways).
165gr. SD loads IMO feel a little more "snappy", as finfan described, than the 180gr. offerings so I use the 180's.

Once I add the pinky extension, it's as perfect as it goes.

Great all around carry handgun. It is accurate, easy to handle, and functions well. My only gripe is that mine FTL every now and then when I use flat point ammo. The round catches the feed ramp and stops. I just clear it and reload it in another magazine. Other than that, I have had no issues.

Also, factory 9 round mags are annoying as they should come as a 10 round. Just have to get a +1 extension and you are GTG.

it a good shooter, the double spring works well. i shoot flush 9 round mags no finger extension needed it is easily manageable with good technique. thinking of selling or trading my older g27 just to get a gen4 but great all around piece
