Any members know of a knowledgeable HK gunsmith to install the following parts in a HK45

• Sights

It'd be best to look for an HK certified armorer (if such a person exists) for the HK45, because it's a new gun, and not listed, so the number of people experienced in servicing the platform are going to be few and far between. You may need to ship out of state. Heck, even HK will do the work with factory parts.

Canyon Sports in Martinez changed out my HK45c safety to an ambi. Sights are very straightforward... But the owner is the gunsmith and he is very busy so you may want to call to see if they have time to do it.

Don't know one but you can probably change out the trigger and safety yourself. There are youtube videos for the ambi safety as I used it , took about 30 minutes going slow and carefully.

The sights require patience, a padded (wood etc) vise, and brass, delrin etc punches. It is doable but a bit nerve racking. You can send it to HK USA or gray guns for that.

The parts swap is more doable in my opinion, less chance of doing real damage. I have taken the HK45 apart completely and back together for trigger smoothing. I used the instructions for asm/dis-asm from the HKPRO forum website. The 'library' there has instructions for installing an LEM trigger in a non-LEM gun. I used those. I also have done the non-LEM to LEM - so if you
take your time, have good light, and are careful and observant - you can do it.
HKPRO forum and youtube has a few good things too. Do it yourself - get to know your gun a bit more. There is very little HK service (like 0) in CA so being self sufficient makes sense. hkparts.net too if you don't know about them.

Thank you for the feedback and along with the rest of the members. Did the ambi safety myself and it was a piece-O-Cake..lol now need to grow a pair to man up to the trigger. YouTube and HKpro definitely helped alot.
