    AMT 380 Backup.Please Help

I had a friend bring this gun over today with a broken hammer.Seems they had it apart with not much luck putting it back together.

I am not that familiar with this individual gun.Upon taking it apart the correct way(thank you You Tube)I encountered the broken, lower pieces of the hammer still in the gun, while my friend held the upper part of the hammer that fell out of the gun...I have located the new hammer(thank you Numrich).

My question for those of you that may have this gun.The first picture with a pencil pointing at the ejector.
Are there supposed to be bushings on either side of the ejector??To keep it from flopping side to side.
I see where the ejector goes into a notch to maintain center. It seems maybe I am missing other parts??

Parts diagrams have been no help.

Please PM me.Thank you ahead of time

I see a few folks claim to own these.
Has anyone taken theirs apart? They are not so bad to break down if you know the procedure. The monkey that broke the hammer, did not have access to You Tube I guess. The original owner of this claimed if fired fine, before the new owner took it apart.
Can someone tell me if I am missing any parts on the pin that retains the ejector?
    Thank you ahead of time.

I'am just wondering why you don't post a Gunsmithing question in the Gunsmithing Forum..?

Thanks Blademan for the response.I really do appreciate the knowledge you have.
I posted on the pistol section hoping someone would have this gun and could look at my pictures,to see if I was missing other parts.
Gunsmithing, well,I can not seem to meet the right people that work on anything but a common barrel or AR.I know a gunsmithing section is on here.
It looks like my post has had alot of viewers.Hope the right person see's it that actually has owned one and at least had it apart for cleaning.
I am working on this for free.I grew up in the 60s and learned young that we need to take care of things ourselves and help friends and family out along the way.

Yes I had one and had it all apart for several different modifcations until I got it running 100%.
That was years ago so I didn't want to post.
IIRC the ejector flopped around unless the slide was on.
(This gun does have the later flat-tip ejector that works much better than the early round-nose type).
Check my zip...if I'm close to you and you want to bring it over I will take a look at it.
I'm sure we can get it back together. PM.

When I was younger and could only get cheap guns, nobody would work on them so I had to work on them myself.
Great way to learn guns at not much risk.

Bought one of these when they first came out. Didn't work for s**t. I lived about 2 miles from where they were made so I took it there - the secretary just took mine reached in her drawer and gave me another one. It worked great.

Thanks so far for the support people.I am still hoping for someone with one in there hand, that can tell me for sure if something is missing.I may be way over reacting as to what or if something is gone.I tend to want all my bases covered to help someone out. These days it is great to get support.Glad we are on here.
The diagrams I have been going over show only the ejector, with no bushings on the pin.Like others have told me the diagrams leave something to be desired.
These guns sure are loved or hated depending on the experience.

Can't help you on the .380 as mine is the .22LR, ejector on side no bushings. I have a love relation with mine, 200 rds just today. Eats anything now, first 700 rounds were rough going. Never field stripped it, just hose it down and scrub. Probably 3000 rds through it now.

M1NM..Buy it at Lock Stock and Barrel? I grew up in Arcadia.

Update.I got this fixed a few weeks ago
Numrich was out of the factory original hammer till who knows.
I bought the older model hammer, spur and pin that goes through the spur.I had to take the happy dremel to the hammer for a little clearance modification. It had a little different sear face.It worked like a champ.Almost 2 boxes of ball ammo with zero FTF.My friend wanted it for his mother. She has now fired a full box out of it as well with zero failure.
