Larry Davidson grips, show 'em off

Well, I've been through a ton of 1911 grips and had always heard Davidson's were the end all be all. How much nicer could they be than VZs, etc.? Well, I called up Larry and ordered a couple of sets. I wanted cocobolos with the grenade pattern, which I had never seen, and he was happy to make them for me. So I figured I wanted to try some micarta grips too, so told him to make me some radials and surprise me. I went with blue and black, just for the heck of it. Well, they arrived and I couldn't be happier. Although I kind of wish I'd asked him to tone down the blue, they are growing on me. Anyway here they are, if any of you fellas have LD grips (He makes them for many gun makes, not just 1911's), I'd love to see them.

Very nice! I've never seen these grips before. Are the first set thicker than normal? They appear to be, but that may just be the pic.
Again, they look very good.

Optical illusion, normal thickness grips but the shape of the squares make it look an inch thick.

Nice, Darmog! I love his stuff. Tempted to look into more Davidson's for guns I am happy with already.
