Sig 220 E2 grip upgrade worth it?

I'm about to give my 220 some spring and barrel upgrades. I current use the Hogue wrap around grip which has worked fairly well but I hear a lot about the E2 grips. Any feedback?

I believe the E2 grip is supposed to be smaller, so that may be a problem if you like the fat Hogue rubber grip. The other problem will be finding a set.

The factory grips aren't horrible but I need more sticky.

The slims feel stickier than the standards but don’t have as much bite as the old checkered plastic. The E2 stock did feel good on my friend’s P226. However, I’ve also heard that the E2 forces the user’s hand lower on the grip frame.

If I had big hands, I would probably look for wooden stocks.

I have a 226 with standard grips, my buddy has a 226 with E2 grips both running .40 . Like mentioned above , the grips do force your hand lower,and the barrel higher and I didn't like it.

I had the e2 grips. They are easy to install. The truth is it does force your hand very low, so it makes the gun a little different feeling for me.

I didn't see a P220 E2 kit on Top Gun Supply.

Top Gun had it for the 226, and Sig Store had it for the 220. I'm going to try it on th 226 first since it's a larger grip to begin with and test it out.

If you have smaller hands you will like them. They look great but They were too small for me.

i like how my hand fits over the OEM factory black-plastic-checkered grips of all my w german Sigs. the grips hold just fine to the hand and seen as the 'signature' of the old-school Sig Sauer handguns by many. i wouldn't want a set of grips that would alter my hand location while holding/shooting a Sig. the great ergonomics of the Sig has much to do with the 'balance' of the gun while being held in the hand. imho the location of the grip area, and the relationship between the grips and the hand is part of that balance.

i do understand that 'one size does not fit all' and i'm speaking from personal preference based on my history with the w german/german variants of the Sig Sauer P series handguns.
