    Colt King Cobra Value?

    Hey guys,

A coworker of mine has a 4" King Cobra (stainless finish, .357 cal) that he is thinking of selling. He states he has the original box and about 400 rounds of factory ammo (mix of .357 and .38 SPL, mostly .357). He says that it is in really good condition. I don't know a whole lot about these, other than you don't see them very often. I did a search in the For Sale section and it seems that one hasn't been sold on here for a while and was hoping you guys could give me an idea of what it is worth.

    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

Colts have gone up , I would think 600.00. It was around 400.00 new . 4 inch is a nice size, 400 rds = 160-200 at prepanic dollars , I have a Colt Trooper MK 111 , Will never sell that gem. I would buy that KC.

Never mind, a recent 6" sold for $1400 in 20 minutes with no ammo. I think I have a pretty good idea of what to value it at.

LOL! good luck finding one at that price. Same goes for the Pythons, wish I lived during those times they sure don't make classy guns like those anymore.

Deals like that typically can only be found when coming across an old gun owner who doesn't use the internet and no longer visits gun shops very often.

I may have over paid, but as has been said, they don't come up for sale in great condition often. I bought mine for $1250 with no ammo or box. I think it's a late 80's model.

Very nice! I don't think I have seen any sold for less than $1000 in the past year in this forum.

                      I wouldn't mind over-paying for a nice blued 4" Python either.
