    Kimber Aegis II

Wondering if any one knows if/when the Kimber Aegis II 9mm will be available in California? And possibly if/when the Taurus PT1911 would be available also.

    Thanks

I can't believe how often these threads come up.

There is an effective ban on all new models of semi-automatic centerfire handguns in California. If it's not on the roster (and wasn't dropped from the roster for failure to pay fees) or nearly identical to a gun already on the list made by the same manufacturer (e.g. Glock 21 v. 21SF, Glock 30 v. Glock 30SF), it's not getting on the list until the laws are changed because of the loaded chamber indicator requirement which, as interpreted by the CA DOJ, is impossible to fulfill.

On these guns it's not the LCI that's impossible as much as the mag disconnect.

You're right it's doubley impossible. However a magazine disconnect is theoretically possible. Someone at least mentioned there was a 1911 that had a magazine disconnect. The LCI however cannot be meant. There is no way you can have some indicator on a handgun that anyone can understand is loaded from a distance without reading a manual.
