    XD 9mm advive

    Whats up guys?....... Ive had my XD 9mm (4" service) for about a month now. Havent got a chance to test it out yet, been bizzy with work, family stuff and my nremt. Ive been picking up ammo here and there and have the basics like a good cleaning kit and even pearce mag extenders. Other then more mags what should i look into next?

            Seriously, shoot the gun, shoot it a lot. It doesn't need add on parts. At most get a better holster (the XD gear one sucks) and some decent mag pouches. Check out some training options.

              More ammo, a TLR 1, and a training class is how I would spend my money. If you're not gonna ccw then a better holster isn't really necessary right now.

                +1 Shoot it, buy more ammo, repeat. When you get decent get some training. Training did open up my eyes... I gotta hit the range again.

                  Get to the range and become proficient with it.

                  Snap caps, but I believe the XD is safe to practice dry firing without them.

                  If this is your first handgun, the training course others have mentioned is a great idea.

                  A safe or some way to secure it.

                        Its a great gun. Bought mines about a year ago and have over 1000 rounds through it with no issue.

                        Get out to the range an get some trigger time.
