just picked out my third ccw gun. I wanted something smaller for pocket carry, especially with this valley heat in summer when its t shirts only. Any advice for this gun? ammo or otherwise?

I picked up both the sig p238 and the p938 last year.. IMHO its still kinda tuff to pocket carry. I ve been looking for a better holster for it bc most of the holsters I ve seen make the little gun just bulky enough to be a pain to pocket carry...
The p 938 is only .5 inches longer and pretty much the same in every other dimension... both are awesome very very accurate little guns... surprisingly accurate!

Sweet, its one of my favorite handguns. As far as things to look at, check the recoil spring to see if it is the old style or the new style. The old style ones would wear out real quick and start to cause jams, which is why they redesigned the spring for the newer ones (mine had to be replaced after only like 100 rounds).Comment

Cool little firearm, just make sure you don't push the ejector too far forward when dissembling or assembling, it's a p.i.t.a. to get back into the correct position..Comment

Maybe the California version does exist - just say this in the marketplace:

The Sig P238 does exist. I just bought one. A friend of mine has one and loves it. I bought because 4 came in and 2 were sold, so I figured I should get it. My question to all of you, how is the gun? I am having some trigger work done on it to smooth it out. Anything elseComment

Congrats, I shot one and loved it but don't want to spend my limited funds on one! If money wasn't an issue I'd snatch one up. The 938 looks amazing too.Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.Comment

But if it does exist, maybe we'll see reasonable prices in 6 months or so.RSM

Congrats you'll love it. Its about as close as your going to get to a baby 1911. Get some good ammo, make sure you get the new version of the mag followers and your set. Enjoy.Comment
