Glock/M&P Holster Help

I need a holster that will work with a Glock 19 and M&P9. I have a kydex holster for each, but i've had occasion several times over the last few months where i want one holster that works with both. i'm eyeing an Uncle Mike's Sidekick hip holster, the one without the mag pocket.
Any other suggestions?

Uncle mikes holsters are pieces of crap IMO... Get a quality holster for each and be done with it... Leather is best... Check out Galco or desantis if you don't want to have one made

no such thing as a good "universal" holster.

Last really good nylon holsters I know of are the old Bianchi products which were at least made in several different configurations to fit a number of similar guns rather than being "universal." Things like the inexpensive Uncle Mike's nylon holster only have one really good use which is when you have some sort of really oddball pistol and there simply isn't any other holsters availible.

May want to look into the Glock Sport and Combat Holster to fit the 20, 21, 29, 30 & 36. Excellent fit with my M&P 9c and seems to work OK with my son's G19.

Recommend Safariland. Fits my M&P, Glock 17/19 and HK USP pretty well!

Uncle Mikes are not a holster, but something to cover the gun. There is no universal fit, so get ready to spend $60 for a real holster. BladeTech, CompTac, Safariland are some of the good ones. I have been running a BladeTech since 1992 for competition and a FIST IWB K1 for carry.

I'm having trouble picturing a scenario where you'd want a holster for two different guns. Can you elaborate on this so we can give better suggestions?

my wife and i go shooting and want to trade guns but not trade holsters every time we switch off.
as i stated, i already own kydex holsters for each, the glock fits loosely, not securely, in the m&P one and the m&p does not fit in the glock one at all.
i'm aware at the major drawbacks to the soft floppy fabric holsters but for this use case they seem to have some appeal.

You'd be better served with a paddle holster than a garbage quality nylon one.

If it is just for casual use, I'd recommend the Bianchi UM-84 or the Safariland 568 Custom Fit holster

I use the N82 Tactical Original holster for my Glock 27 and XD 9. Its elastic and will fit differant guns the same size. Its IWB and comfortable for carry not sure about the range though. I got it Tacticl CCW Gear good quality and lifetime warranty.
