Let down on first day with Glock 17

So I just got done at the range, took a few firearms out for their first time. 2 performed flawlessly, but the glock did not. Brand new G17, never cleaned or lubed from the advice of a glock armorer. First I tried some PMC bronze, the first magazine had about 2 FTE's and a stovepipe. Switched to CCI blazer brass, gun worked well for a few magazines, then on my final magazine I had 3 more FTE and another stovepipe. Should I be worried? Breaking in? Needs a clean? I'm lost

Im not too much of a Glock guy but i dont think they need a break in period, could be wrong though.

If this is your first polymer gun it might be that you dont have a tight enough grip on the gun.

Could be something with extraction tension.

Try hotter ammo. S&B, Fiocchi, or anything 124gr and see if the issue persists. Limp wristing is a possibility but my Glocks in 9mm do not function well with PMC 115gr in particular. Are you getting any ejected brass to the face?

Leave slide back for a while. Your recoil spring is not broken in yet.

Could be the infamous new generation extractor problem, but I'll defer to what the others are saying regarding possible limpwristing. My own G17 functions perfectly in my hands, but has FTEs in every mag with my girlfriend behind the trigger; limpwristing problem.

I've put tons and tons of PMC threw my 17 and I've never had a malfunction, with any ammo for that matter

Are you limpwristing the gun?

I own a Glock 19 and have put around 1000 rounds through it and never once has anything like that happened.

I have had some stove pipe issues with HP's on my brand new G19. Doesn't surprise me you have problems.

Why did the glock armorer tell you not to clean and lube before you shoot? At least clean and inspect the bore just in case there is anything that can potentially obstruct the bore.
