    Glock 30

Just put a Glock 30 in jail.

Had a Kimber TLE/RL on order but I'm going to wait on that one until this craziness dies down a tad.

    Have you shot a G30?
    I used to love shooting the G23, until I shot a friend's G30.
Now, the G30 SF is my go to pistol.

Not the 30 but a few other Glock pistols. I do love the platform and am a big fan of 45. It just feels right in the hand.

I'm extremely excited to try her out.

i love my G30. i didn't go with the SF because it didn't feel any different than the regular framed G30. first time i shot my friend's Gen2 G30, i was hitting dead, center mass at 10yds and the groupings just got tighter as i got used to it.

only complaint is that you'll get some pinky bite from the gap between the mag and grip. some people like the Pearce grips, but i just prefer putting a band-aid on my pinky when i plan on shooting 200+ rounds.

I've heard that complaint from people using Pearce floors as well. I usually shoot with gloves so I'm thinking that will be a non factor.

Anyone new to Glock have any holster pull concerns with the safety built into the trigger? Assuming you pull with a round chambered.

i've shot with gloves too. it definitely helps prevent that, but i feel a little weird shooting with gloves, to be honest.

no, haven't had any issues. i always say that the Glock's safety is your brain/yourself. if you've trained yourself to index your firearm, "on target, on trigger; off target, off trigger" then you'll be good to go.

having said that, i rarely chamber a round when i actually carry. i understand the concept that an extra second counts, but i'm comfortable drawing to the low ready position, racking the slide, and firing off two rounds from said position.

once i get into an agency, however, i will have a round chambered at all times. i might start to change my ways sooner rather than later, but again, i don't have an issue loading and firing from low ready.
