Where to get a pistol hard chromed?

Looking for a place in the Monterey or San Jose area that will hard chrome my CZ97B. I saw this picture today and was just blown away. I want mine to look like that but i don't want to ship it out, I want someone local that I can drop it off to.

Do you mean nickel plated or CHROME, like gangsta?

I don't know of any reputable local hard chromers. In fact, I think a local smith would just send your gun out to be hard chromed...

That pistol is chrome plated with a matte finish.

I know its not local, but Techplate is in socal. I had them do some hard chroming for me and I cant recommend them highly enough. Alot of smiths send them refinish work.

Gangsta is decorative chrome, like a bumper.

OP means engineering hard chrome, where the plating thickness is carefully controlled so the gun works after plating.

Techplate or Checkmate Plating (FL, I think) do good work. A standard chrome plater who's doing bike parts, furniture, and other sh1t will be way out of his league.

Metaloy is who most of the 'smiths use. I'd pony up and ship it.

These guys spun off from Fail Zero years back....

NiB looks similar and is very similar to the Robar finish.... Looks similar to Chrome but is more durable and resistant to rush that can destroy chrome...

If you have ever thought of upgrading your gun, obviously have it done before refinishing... Beaver tail, serrations, etc

                from the web site-

We currently coat all types of firearms (minus Class 3 for the moment) and hold a 07 FFL. If you have questions regarding the potential to upgrade your firearm, then please contact techsupport@wmdguns.com or call 231-421-4867 and ask to speak with the gunsmith.

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

Dave Severns sent both my full custom 1911's out to Chris at Metaloy, I'm very pleased with their work.

Yup, 100% sure. I read the old post where the owner listed all the upgrades. I called the guy who he used to plate it and they told me they no longer finish pistols. Thats when I started look locally.

I'd rather give my business to someone local but I would not mind sending it out if I have to.

Techplate has done a couple of my pistols. Quality work at a fair price.
