Glock Trigger Question

I own a G20SF Gen3 (bought in 2012) and G22C Gen3 (used, unknown year) with smooth trigger (the trigger itself, not the pull). I recently picked up a G19 Gen 3 and the trigger is serrated. Anyone know if this is something new to Glock?

I believe all compact and subcompact Glock's comes with serrated face triggers, and all full size and extended full size Glock's comes with smooth face triggers. (I'm not sure about gen 1's tho, but all my gen 2.5 and gen 3's are like that)

It's always been this way.

The serrated trigger is considered a "target trigger" by the BATFE and is needed so that the compact & subcompact Glocks have enough points so they can legally be imported to the USA for civilian sales.
