Please pick up your own brass, but don't be a douche and steal. We have enough problems without creating new ones internally.

I haven't seen or heard of any mishaps associated with collecting brass. To kill time, I collect brass when the rifle or pistol line shuts down, and the only time I collect it when the line is live is if I'm leaving.

          Fine, extortion.

The range in Concord doesn't care if you pick up brass that's not your's, just make sure it's ok with the shooters next to you, they might care. If it's in the bucket, at Concord at least, I'd say it's fair game.

              What he said!

To me range etiquette regarding brass pick up is to always ask you neighbor prior to picking up brass that isn't yours! I hate having to tell people to get the hell away from my brass.

Is there some type of brass catcher that can be attached to a pistol? It probably won't look cool but if I could recover 100% of my brass I wouldn't care how it looked.

                Found one:
                Akuna Brass CatcherTM

At Concord once it hits the bucket it belongs to the range.

If i see someone chasing brass, I'll help them out if I can and snag any that have come my way.

I never thought to pick up brass for my own purposes, so this never really occurred to me which is why I posted this question before I tried to get some brass from the ground or bucket at the range.

Thanks to all for their responses!

I try to only police brass in my shooting stall. I don't want to grab brass behind someone else that is actively shooting and distract them. Too dangerous and not cool. Once it's in the bucket or swept away, I consider it gone. The other thing, please try not to step on my brass when walking by. It really jacks up the brass and ends up being scrap.
