P7M8 Night Sights?
Collapse

-
Are you asking if Trijicon and Meprolight makes night sights for P7M8? Top Guns Supply sells them.
I wouldn't think night sights would lower the value of your gun. But then again, the gun was originally intended to be for protection, so maximizing usability would be more important than gun value. -
Sights swap easily (well, if you're a gunsmith) and don't damage the gun. Keep the old ones, for someone who wants original.

Where can I get this done? I am far from a gun smith. Anywhere near Long Beach? This is my prize gun so I want them to do a real good job. I also read that HK made the sights special or something, low profile and longer for some reason (accuracy I think). Are the night sights the same? You never hear the phrase eaten dead.Comment

Loosen the allen screw in the back and drive it out with a brass or nylon punch. Then drive out the front site. Add some locktite to the sites you are putting in and reverse the process. Or send it to a gunsmith and let them charge you 30 bucks to take it in the back room and beat them in with a brass or nylon punch.I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.
When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.Comment

Other option is to send your slide to http://www.tooltechgunsight.com/
They are Trijicon's repair shop and have them drill holes and place tritium vials in the original sights.Comment

Are you sure you don't have Top Glock and Top Gun Supply mixed up?Originally posted by SobriquetThis is slightly off topic, but you might want to give your business to someone other than Top Gun. I didn't appreciate his publicity stunt of selling guns "at cost" in response to the VT shootings. In reality, he's selling guns and accessories at (still) high prices after he supplied the guns used in the VT shootings.
Not passing judgment on his selling those guns (I don't know enough about it), but I sure do think his current campaign is in poor taste. Same guy owns a Glock site, but the name escapes me.
Maybe try Heinie? I know they make sights for the USP, HK45, P2000, and P30.
IIRC, the guy selling guns at cost owns Top Glock and The Gun Source.
I've had nothing but good experiences with Top Gun Supply and would highly recommend them.Comment

He actually only supplied the P22.Originally posted by SobriquetIn reality, he's selling guns and accessories at (still) high prices after he supplied the guns used in the VT shootings.Comment

I think there might be a long and short rear sight for the P-7, but it might be the M-13 only.Comment

I sent my P7M8 into HK for their night sight installation. They did an install, clean and lube package.
Very friendly service (despite their reputation to the contrary). Their smith called me up as soon as he finished test firing my pistols to let me know they were ready to be shipped back and we ended up chatting for a while. Total time was about a week and for a decent price as well.

I would love to know more about this - what do the sights look like?I sent my P7M8 into HK for their night sight installation. They did an install, clean and lube package.

Tony is onto something here:HK P7 sights are pre-drilled to accept night sights. The white dots are merely polymer tubes that fill the holes that were drilled. The best overall option for HK P7 night sights, in my opinion, is to send the slide to Tooltech, and have them insert tritium tubes into the factory sights. HK P7 factory sights are excellent, and going this route retains this. Several of my HK P7s have night sights, and all were done this way.Other option is to send your slide to http://www.tooltechgunsight.com/
They are Trijicon's repair shop and have them drill holes and place tritium vials in the original sights.
A couple of suggestions, if I may. First, you can choose a different color for the rear dots. I suggest yellow if you don't want an all-green setup. Second, request that Tooltech not drill a relief hole in the sights.Comment
