1911 Grip advice...

Pachmeyr rubber wraparound that came with a MC Operator feels "ok". I rather have something else though...

Need some advice which VZ grip to get...

Are you set on VZ grips? I think black/gray wood grips will look good on an Operator considering the shade of the gun frame. Here's a link to grips that Kimber puts on their Eclipse.

I have them with the Kimber logo on my Tactical Custom and they blend really well. Good luck!

I might actually get those for my Raptor II. But for the MC Operator, I'd like to stick with either Black or OD Green to match the scheme of the gun.

Zebrawood grips on the Raptor.. I'd like to make them last as long as I can. having another set of grips will help. Also, I couldn't find the same grips on Kimber's store.

If you're set on VZ, I like the Operator II grips, but lately I've been returning to good ole hardwood. I bought myself a checkering set, so I'll be custom carving my next pair of grips. I'll start oversized and start removing material until I get a hair larger than comfortable, and then cut the checkering to get it where I want it.

I focused on VZ since going thru multiple threads. I've noticed many have only good impressions of their VZ purchases.

I put the VZ Simonich Gunners on my Kimber and that texture is very aggressive-no slippage worries there.

I currently have a set of VZ Operator 2's on my Springfield Loaded and love them, very nice grip, nice texture, and the gun feels secure in my hand.
