    Sig Sauer Wait Period

Anybody know how Sig is doing in manufacturing new guns?
I sent my P220 Carry SAS Gen 2 for warranty repair work in early December.
They said it needed to be replaced.
Sent it in right before Sandy Hook. Been waiting 4 Months now.
Anybody else in the same boat.

What is wrong with your sig that needed to be entirely replaced. I sent in my P226 for warranty repair to replace the extractor, got it back in 2 days. Have you've been calling sig to see whats the hold up?

Four months for warranty repair is unacceptable.
Call SIG CS ASAP to check status.

The inside of the magazine well was pitted. The finish was flaking off.
Really weird. I debated just keeping it since you would never see it, but I figured if I was going to pay nearly a grand for something it should be right.
I thought they would just refinish the thing, but they came back saying it needed to be completely replaced. At the time, I thought no problem.
I keep calling every 2 weeks!
Its to the point where the "expected shipping date" is the current date.
Every day it updates to the new date.
        Truly Sucks!

Here a pic. Not sure if you can see it, but it runs along the entire length of the mag well. Felt rough/pitted to the touch.
          Damn, should have kept it.

I would think a call to Sig saying send me a new gun or my purchase price now would be in order. If they do send you a new gun,it will have to go thur a FFL and be re-drosed. Another problem, might be if the Sig you bought has fallen off the roster, they would have to send you a current roster model as a replacement. You need to call Sig NOW,to find out the problem, and ger it taken care of.

I sent my P238 in for repairs last Friday. The information packet that I got from Sig stated "Turn around time for basic repairs (not including refinish services or replacements) is currently about 2-3 weeks from the day we receive it."

It was never on the roster. I go it via SSE.
I will also have to re-acquire it SSE.
