TRP has better fit in terms of slide to frame & better barrel.

      TRP

The TRP is their top end gun. The loaded is actually on their lower end. The TRP is an outstanding product, but a new person to this platform will probably not notice.

If you have the extra money then get the TRP. I have the Loaded model and it is one of my favorites. Good shooter, durable, feeds like a champion. I would put the TRP in the same class as the DW models. Springfield Armory will give you a life time warranty and great customer service.

I have the Loaded version for one reason: The TRP have that cheesy "TACTICAL" written in big letters on the side of the frame. Sooooooo stupid. What a shame on such an otherwise great pistol, a $1500 1911 for mall ninjas... That being said there's nothing missing on my loaded model, after a trip to a good gunsmith.

The Loaded is not really lower end by any means.

              It's something like this:
              Operator
              Loaded
              Mil-Spec
              GI

the OPERATOR is actually just a railed version of said guns from what i understand. As said above between TRP and LOADED. The TRP has a tighter fit and i think better barrel. Its kinda of like a loaded LOADED.

I own a Loaded model, and my buddy has the TRP.....We probably hit the range twice a month with our 1911s, and when I shoot his TRP, i'm no more accurate then with my own loaded model. I personally think the Loaded model is one of the best deals out there for a mid to entry level 1911....

I was originally considering buying a TRP, but it isnt going to make me a better shooter. That extra cash is better spent on ammo and range time IMHO

I have a Loaded in SS and I like it a lot. Some of the edges are a bit sharper than I'd like but its a very nice pistol overall. I never shot a TRP so I don't know if it shoots better or not. I probably would'nt notice the difference anyways unless the trigger was different somehow. I held one once and thought the front checkering was pretty rough but I probably could get used to it.
At the time that I bought my Loaded if I could have gotten a real good deal on a TRP (like $1500 or less) I might have bought one but nothing like that came up. Got my Loaded for around $900ish. Good luck.

                        HAHA! No.

Well, I suppose that they might be on/near the top end of their factory stuff, but it's really not leaps and bounds ahead of the Loaded compared to their Professional models.

Just think of TRPs as Loadeds with frontstrap checkering.

Take a look at the SACS page on the springfield web page a see how much it would cost to do a TRP package on a loaded model and they don't put TRP markings on the slide. Im no expert but it seems like the TRP is the way to go if you have the $$.
