    HK45

I just picked up a HK45 this week and to give some thought about this gun.

After reading about the gun grip being based on the 1911, I gave it a shot by buying one even though I never handled one. In the past, the USP full size models were just too big(I don't have big hands). I had to settle for the USP .40 compact that I have now. The grip feels pretty good and fits my hand well. I didn't have to change the backstrap but I'll try the smaller back strap later to see if its a better fit. The quality of the HK45 is good in terms on looks (I personally think HK has the better looks for poly guns), design and function. I do like the added ambi-slide release and night sights.

As for the value of this gun, I don't think its worth it. I have two 1911's that are not much more and nicer than the HK45. I understand they are different kind of guns but we ll see.

I'm going to go shoot it this weekend at Jackson Arms probably around noon. If any other cal gunners wants to shoot it come by. We 'll see how nice it is and give a review later.
