Likewise. I prefer the standard all the way. First thing I change out of a G34 is the slide stop.

If it's a carry gun, then go with the original slide stop.

I use OEM extended slide stops on all my Glocks. Works and feels great for me. Everybody has different preferences and comfort levels. YMMV.

That punk pulled a Glock 7 on me. You know what that is? It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. Dosen't show up on your airport X-ray machines, here, and it cost more than you make in a month.

On a 27? I wouldn't bother spending money on aftermarket, just replace the stock stop and call it good. A full size or competition pistol would be another matter.

Just currious..... Why does it being a sub compact make a difference?

I put an extended slide stop on my G-17, an had one on my G-34 stock, I had issues with the slide locking back caused by my big thumbs engaging the slide stop.
I took both of them off, and presto, no more problems. I hardly ever use the slide stop except to clean or empty the gun at the end of a stage, I charge it by the slingshot method.

I just installed the OEM extended slide stop. It feels nice and makes it much easier to release the slide. I had to slightly alter my grip though because the slide would occasionally lock back during a string of fire.

OEM. Nothing wrong with it. The extended ones are for the weak, lol.

It's designed to be a carry pistol. My preference is not to add things that stick out on carry pistols, such as extended slide stops. Second, if I replace a bad part on a carry pistol with a stock part, I can usually be pretty sure that the pistol will work correctly when I need it.

That's why I say it would be a different matter on a full size or competition pistol - I don't carry full size pistols concealed (anymore, that is!) and so don't have to be concerned with things that stick out, and competition is a good place to experiment with things like extended slide stops, aftermarket triggers and so forth as the worst that will likely happen is that my pistol will stop running and I will call it bad names.
