Sig E2 grips

Finally got my order and I installed the E2 grips on my 226 tonite.

Install was fairly easy.

I notice there is a small gap on the right side of the grip. Is there normal? Or did I do something wrong?

I had it too. I think the grip is just bent from the factory (not fitting flush). You could take the grip off, heat it up and bend it inward a little.

If you're talking about that very small crack that you can slip a piece of paper into, then it seems to be normal. My factory installed E2 grips are like that, and I never noticed it until you pointed it out.

Probably just not sitting right and needs to click in.

Yeh. Small gap, right side near top of frame. Opposite decocker.
I'll try taking it off and bending it in alittle.

This. I had the same problem at first on all of the E2's I've installed. Push and turn toward the muzzle, it needs to click into place. If it needs bending, it's a bad grip and needs to be returned.

Mine also shows that gap on both a 226 and 228. I think its from the spring that sits outside the frame.

I took mine off and heated it and bended it inwards. It fits flush now.

Well, took my E2 grips off with the specialty tool. Tried bending the grips tighter. Reinstalled. Made sure I heard a click / pop, etc. It is ON.

And the gap is still there on the right side. Oh well, main reason I took off my Hogue rubber grips for the E2s was so my gun wouldnt stick in my Safari thigh holster.
