1 Gun Per 30 Days Question

If I moved here recently with a firearm and submit the New Resident Firearm Registration Form, does that count toward the 1 gun per 30 day rule? i.e. can I purchase a new firearm within 30 days of submitting that form or do I have to wait? I have a firearm on the way for SSE and I'm also about to mail out that form to the DOJ.

It's not one gun every 30 days. One handgun every 30 days. Your previous guns don't count.

The 1 in 30 day wait does not apply to handguns reported via form to CA DOJ.

Also, unless you live in L.A. the 1 in 30 day rule only applies to handguns that are dealer stock. It does not apply to guns purchased from an individual or guns that are on consignment.

Yeah, I ordered a gun from an out-of-state dealer and it's being shipped here. So I presume 1/30 counts.

                  I believe 1 DROS'd handgun every 30 days. Intra-familal and PPT don't count.

Get your guns through PPT. You can PPT as many pistols/ long guns as you want in a single day, as many days in a row as you desire.

Easier said than done. Not gonna find the guns I want through private party. They're custom/semi-custom.

Then you are also not going to find them on the roster, hope your FFL is into SSE!

To add on to this, can I purchase 2 handguns from the same dealer on the same day if one of the handguns is on back order for 4-6 months? The purchase date would be the same but delivery date would meet 30 day requirement.

It's the DROS that counts. You can buy 10 handguns in a row but can only DROS one in 30 days.

Also if you are doing SSE here then you don't need to send out the form for that gun since you buy it here rather than bringing the handgun here.
