    Operator is finally home!!!

Finally was able to bring home the newest additional to the family...

    Springfield Armory "MC Operator".

Passed by the range just to get a feel. Brought along my Kimber Raptor II. The Operator felt heavier, probably is heavier. Along with the weight, the Pachmeyr wraparound rubber grips felt my hand feeling the affects afterwards. Some VZ grips in its future. The Operator did feel smoother than the Raptor. All in all, extremely happy with both my 1911s. Ed Brown "Special Forces" 1911 already in the works. Also, LGS had a Colt 1911 XSE Government in stock.. maybe just maybe..

I like that ALOT; how much did it run you?

Take home price was about $1400 all together. Since I had to wait 40 days to take it home, I had time to get the cash to pay it off...

An old high school buddy of mine just asked, "What's MC stand for?"

Answered, "Marine Corps" .... He immediately started to look online to find one for himself.

Good for you, as they're hard to find, even on Gunbroker, and then you have to find someone willing to ship to us. I've given up on LGS'. Ultimately, that Springfield or something like it might be THE 1911 for me in the future...

Honestly, I had my heart set on finding a Springfield Armory TRP. (Marketplace or SSE route) But my LGS guy just got the Operator in the same time I was looking to grab a Kimber Custom II. Luckily for me, the guy was nice enough to show me the Operator before placing it on display...

Very nice! I have been eyeing those MC Operator's.

One of my regrets in life was passing on buying a SA Operator with the full length rail dust cover. It was so beautiful and felt great in the hand. I stupidly thought the extra $100 more it cost over the other SA Loaded I was eyeing was not worth it. I wish I would have snagged that Operator because they soon discontinued the model.

Of the multiple 1911's I've owned, the MC Operator was my favorite.

                        Congrats.
