Wanting to build my first AR pistol on a completed 80% lower. Does the flash suppressor need to be welded and pinned on the barrel or can it simply be threaded on? Just want to keep it legal. Thanks

youll have a bullet button / mag lock on your ar pistol so no need to pin n weld flash suppressorLaws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. I wouldn't waste a perfectly good completed 80% on a rifle build. Give it a little time, you'll be able to buy a rifle lower at a decent price, something you won't be able to do at all with a pistol lower in CA unless you are a person exempt from the "Roster".I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!Comment

It's a fun range toy. Loud as heck, but fun to shoot. I have "a friend" who built one before all the chaos/panic for under $800. G/L doing that now. YMMVComment

Complete upper was around $530 from RGUNS-mixed reviews on them. BCG & CH included. There was a guy here (vitaminC?) who used to sell them in the marketplace, but I don't remember how much he sold them for.Comment
