    Hi Viz Overmolded sight durability

    Hi guys!

Looking at fiber optic options for my front sight. Curious if anyone has broken a Hi Viz Overmolded front sight?

Seems like a good option for someone looking for fiber without the hassle of needing to replace light pipes every 1,000 rounds.

I see enough posts about the fiber popping out of the open-top fiber sights to know they aren't for me.

I've ran open top fiber in my M&P since day 1 and never had a issue with the fiber rod popping out or accidentally snapping. This includes using the gun in training classes, holster work at the range, and general owner neglect.

The only time the fiber rods have snapped is when I used a razor blade to sever it so that I could change colors. Fiber rods are super cheap and easy to install as well.
