    Browning 1911-22 Compact....reliable????

Saw the gun at a shop, felt great in my hands and I think my wife would like it even more since her hands are smaller. Just wondering if anyone knows how these things handle bulk ammo. Don't want to buy a .22lr pistol that won't shoot the bulk stuff. Haven't found any reviews on ammo reliability for this gun yet.

Just got one of these about two weeks ago. Mine has about 1000 rounds through it now, all different kinds of bulk, Remington Golden Bullet, Cyclone, CCI Blazer, Armscor Standard and Hi Velocity. Not a single failure to feed, fire or eject. Can't speak for all of them, but for mine it has ran flawlessly so far. I recall an online review I read stated that they were pretty reliable on bulk ammo.

+1, reliable on bulk. Ran so far, Winchester M22, Auto Match, Federal Bulk, Blazers.
About 3.5k rounds, only a few issue with the Federal Bulk and Blazers:
Mis-fire and couple to feed due to deformed rounds/loose bullets to casing...but those are ammo issues & expected for bulk 22lr's.
And of course so far 100% with mini mags.

If you do get it, give the trigger about 1k to smooth in.
GI sights, so don't expect to see anything.
Grips are small, I have to adjust a little.
Kinda pricy, but it's a fun shooter and I highly do recommend.
