    SureFire HD300 Ultra problems

I bought a new SureFire 300 Ultrra weaponlight. I have many SF lights but none of theier weapon lights. My prior experience is with a TLR-1 which I really like but I thought i would try the new high output SF light.

The TLR-1 is really easy to use with the momentary on switch- I use my trigger finger and push down on the switch and it pops back up and turns off the light when I let go on the switch.

The SF light has what looks to be the same rocker switch mechanizsm but it sticks! It does not easily glide back to the off position when I release my finger like the TLR-1 does. It is really hard to push and although it has an instant on mode it seems too hard to make it stay in the position - it wants to be on or off with no in-between setting of momentary on.

Does anyone else have this issue? It doesnt seem like it will get better with use.

I believe the instant mode for Surefire is to push the switch forward (in toward the muzzle). Up and down on the rocker are constant on.

That is how they are designed. Different toggle style than the Streamlight.
