The argument for striker fire, as Glock and the polymer guns it usually competes with are, is less moving parts, more reliable.
As said about, the weight issue (metal versus polymer) is moot, in that you can get a polymer 1911.
Personally, if I were in another state, an FNP-45, or FNX-45. Polymer frame. DA/SA, M1913 rail. And 15 rounds of 45 acp in a standard magazine!Comment
