EAA Witness Convertible (What's it worth?)

Okay, here goes... I've got a 9mm/.40S&W Polymer full size EAA Witness pistol.
EAA imported these and used to sell em in Cali. They are actually Tanfoglio's rendition of the venerable CZ75 DA service pistol. Anyone remember the TZ-75?
ALL black as a 9mm two tone in .40 configuration. Comes with one 10 round magazine per caliber as well as mag rebuild components for whoever has prebans in need of repair.

Less than a box shot through it in 40. Approx 350 rounds through in nine.

Was thinking something like this would be worth more than a single pistol, yet be a good deal cheaper than two pistols.

Is the fact that they're no longer on the DOJ list worth anything?

Anyone have a blue book of gun values?

I'm not exactly sure what the blue book say, but usually not being in the DOJ's list brings a "highly sought after" firearm's price even higher. As of right now the Witness line is not in those highly sought after list, most folks looking for a Witness prefers the steel version and I have my doubts of the 100% intechageability of parts between the steel version and poly. You would think they would be, right? THe convertibility factor is a very nice feature. Soo, you'll never know how much your gun is worth until you advertise itl.

      You can

      1. List it in private firearms sales forum at $550 or best offer.

      2. List it on Gunbroker.com or GunMountain.com (operated by another CalGunner). Make sure your auction description has the phrase "CA PPT" in it.

To bad you aren't in the Redding area.
I'd give you $500 for it if it has both slides.

Yeah Reddings a long way from here... Gunrun.

Thanks for the ideas, JT and F2. I'll look for the boxes and paperwork before I post it. If $5 is all its worth, I might just keep it, actually. Anything wrong with posting an ad and backing out if the offers don't meet my expectations?

What do you guys think of selling the mags separately for rebuild parts? Is it usual to sell a pistol with only two mags?
