        I did specify in my original post "unloaded, with loaded clips in the same locked container." Loaded clips that are not attached to the firearm...Hence the firearm is unloaded.

              Personally, if carrying this way, I'd be prepared for a search. If a cop pulls you over, he/she can find out if you own handguns, and even though they don't have to, *I think* most cops run this system anyways. Then they will ask if you have any of your guns in your car, to which you'll have to answer yes.
