Red dot optic for H&K USP

I hope I am posting this in the correct section.
As my eyes age, I find it increasingly difficult to get a good sight picture through the iron sights on my handgun. I can still shoot reasonably well but I can see where this is going and given that I now have to wear bi-focal (or rather, continuous focus - or whatever they are called) eyeglasses, maintaining a good view of the target, the front and rear sight, is getting harder.
So after watching some videos from well-respected but aging handgun shooters, it seems that there is a move to add a lightweight red dot to handguns and I'd like to do that for mine.
Trouble is, my wife and I both shoot H&K USP's and I'm having a hard time finding an adapter for those models (full size and compact).
Can anyone help out here? I'd like to hear your opinions on the matter and whether you know of a solution for an H&K.
    Thanks,
    B

I hope someone responds with ideas, because I'm having the same issue with the same pistol plus a couple other brands.

The USP is tricky. IIRC, you can't just have it milled like some other guns for say a Trijicon RMR. I think they are some dovetail adapter mounts out there that make use of a more shallow forward cut combined with the existing rear sight cut.
