Sorry, no zombies here but I do have a walking Glock pin. I've owned and shot Glocks for many years and have never had this problem but after searching the Internet it is a known issue with the locking block pin in Gen 3 guns. I was recently shooting my Glock 34 at a USPSA match when the RO noticed at the end of my run the locking block pin sticking out a little. I pushed it back in and didn't worry about it until it happened again at the next stage and locking up the gun. I broke down the 34 when I got home and inspected the parts. All looked fine with some finish wear around the suspect pin. As mentioned earlier this apparently is not an uncommon problem. Well it has never happened to any of my other Glocks so it was a surprise and disappointment that Glock hasn't made this issue more public so I could have been watching for it. Now I shoot my 34 strictly in competition but I do have Glocks for self defense as many of you Calgunners do so I wanted to alert some of hyou who have been in the dark regarding his problem to watch for it especially with Glocks you expect to defend you or your family.
Further internet research found recommendations of replacing the pin, paint spraying the ends of the pin to add dimensions to where the pin passes thru the frame and if that is not satisfactory sending the frame back to Glock for possible out of spec frame holes. To date I've ordered a new pin, Hopefully that fixes it. I'm not ready to give up my Glocks just yet but in the mean time I'll inspect my other Glocks for loose locking block pins in the future and suggest you all do the same.
Now, back to the "Walking Dead", dons't you just love that Python that Rick uses? Personally, I'm carrying a Glock with hi cap mags in a zombie apocalypse. Can't these guys just get along. Isn't it enough trouble that zombiies are walking around trying to eat them. I think Rick should have just shot the Govenor at the meeting. Problelm solved go back to fighting zombies. Much more entertaining.
