Impulse Buy

Have known for a while now that I will eventually own a Glock 19. With them being impossible to find, I bought another gun last month to tide me over. Then today, lo and behold I run across a new 19. Needless to say, I bought a gun that I can't afford right now and absolutely don't need. That being said I am super stoked.

Now everyone please tell me how smart and happy I am going to be. And please don't tell my wife that I bought another gun.

Lol...OP that is completely normal, thats the name of the game buying guns with money we dont have. Why do you think 99% of LGS have layaway. And Yes you are very smart and will be very happy...lol Congrats!

In a couple of months you'll be glad you bought it because by then the money you spent today that you don't have won't really matter and won't make any difference. In fact in a couple of months you'll be glad you bought a gun because you'll come to understand that the money you would have saved by not buying would have been spent on something useless

As for the issue with your wife, let me offer some advice. Buy a bunch of guns and at some point she will lose count and won't ever know when you buy more. In fact a couple of months later she'll be questioning why you haven't bought any new guns lately.

Also tell her the g19 is for her because you want to spend more time with her with a hobby you'll both enjoy. She'll be stoked and will want to go shooting. She will either live the sport and you'll have a shooting buddy and free reins to buy more or she won't care much for it and you still win by having a new gun and a happy wife

Here is the key to "sneaking it past the wife" only buy black guns. Doesn't matter the size, caliber, make or anything. Just make sure it's black.

Gun averse wives will never want to look very closely at the gun, all they know is that you own a scary black gun. This way, you can have like 50 guns and as long as they are all black, you only have one gun as far as she knows.

Also, with the handy 10 day waiting period, you can TECHNICALLY tell the truth when she sees you and asks "Did you just buy that gun?" "What? No! I did not just buy this gun (today)".

I can DROS a stainless SA 1911 9mm in about 20 days and that was an impulse buy. Right after that I am thinking oh no, that gun is not black!!!
