Can you give me some input on this? I've heard of some shops charging taxes on the advertised price of the gun. Some don't charge it at all, like a straight PPT transaction.

when the consignment sales is in the possession of the dealer's inventory, they're suppose to charge sales tax on it per Board of Equalization.
However, many gun shops treat it as a PPT and do not charge a sales tax on it while many others charge the sales tax accordingly but some how I doubt their integrity of actually reporting that sales tax and I get the impression some of them pockets this "tax"."I will not fear, fear is the mind killer... That's what I'm afraid of. If the non DOJ roster handgun that is in consignment and entered in the dealer's inventory, doesn't that make it a DROS type sale thus making it ineligible for PPT?The wise man said just find your place
