    Elite Arms Glock shipment

Just got home from Elite in Manteca. My friend wanted a Glock 19 and I knew they had got in several Glocks so I told my friend we needed to get there way early in case there was a line. We got there at 7:30 (they open at 10) and there was only 2 people waiting. We were 3 and 4. by the time they opened, there was a around a dozed people waiting in line. When they opened, they came out and asked how many people were there for Glock 19s and most of the dozen or so waiting said yes. They allowed only the first 5 people in line to enter and told us they only had 5 Glock 19s. I was so happy my friend was able to buy the 19 that she wanted, her first handgun. I ended up buying my third Glock 19. I must apologize to the rest who were waiting for a 19 and did not get them but I like the 19 and was not going to pass up the opportunity to grab another. I'm sure they ran out of the rest of the Glocks in short order. Price was $529, pretty reasonable considering what they are going for on Gunbroker. I know they had 23s, 17s, 26s, and 21sf. Kudos to Elite on not price gouging and for being quick on the paperwork. They are good people if you get the chance to visit them. They did tell me they are having a sale with lots of ammo on Saturday so check them out if you are in town.

So it was YOU!!! LoL, cool story! I love it when the early bird catches the worm. Congrats to your friend as well. An awesome platform to start with, now only if I can get my hands on one.

Dumb question, but why own three Glock 19's? I realize this is from the guy who owns two Glock 22's, but i was offered a good deal of both guns from same seller used for $662 total price, then sent one off for modification. Just curious, thanks.
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

Good to you for helping a friend, and good for Elite for keeping their price. They are a good store.

When I find something that works I usually buy more than one. I have my primary carry 19, a factory OD 19 that is probably worth more than the black one just because it's OD and now I will have one to customize/play with. I don't like messing with my carry gun because I don't believe in modifying what I carry. It may sound crazy but then half the other people on here have more that one 1911 or more than one AR.

Yeah felt bad for you Bro. I was right behind you, if that was actually you. Thought it was a little lame when he asked everyone in front if they were all waiting for the 19 and almost everyone just gave a wondering look around.
Not sure why it was a big secret, you were in line first. Not like you weren't going to get yours. I was looking for a 19 too, but settled for a 23. Figure I'll just convert it later. Not that big of a deal to me. But the guy in front of me waited for several hours because nobody said anything. He left empty handed. On one hand you guys up front didn't owe anyone anything, but on the other hand I thought it was kind of a dick move.
                    Congrats on your 3rd 19.

And they wouldn't let me buy 2...was going to pick up the 23 and a 17... but he said no because "didn't have the room to store them" thought that was kind of weird. And what's with the whole 11 days waiting period. Lame. You'd think a shop like theirs would not do the whole 11 days thing. Leave that for the big 5's.
But friendly staff. Helpful. Clean shop. Price on the Glock I did get was fair. And I'll be back in 13 days because of their self imposed 11 days falls on their day off. Lame again.

You can only DROS 1 in 30, has nothing to do with actually purchasing it. But thanks for the attempt at the lesson.

$529 for a new G19 is very fair in todays marketplace reality. Good for Elite Arms for not taking advantage of everyone. I'm sure they could have charged much more.
                              Interesting story.
