Beretta M9A1 Weapon Light

Does anyone have any experience with a weapon light for a Beretta M9A1? I have an Insight M3 that fits perfectly on my Glock 17, but when I mount it on my Beretta there is quite a bit of play (side-to-side and front-to-back).

I'm looking for one that will not move around on the gun when it is fired. Obviously weapon lights can get pretty expensive so I'd like to buy once, cry once and I don't want to drop $200 on a Surefire only to find it has play in the mounting.

I have a streamlight tlr1-s that works perfect on my glock. It came with like 4 interchangeable keys to fit other types of rails. I'm not 100% sure if it will it a beretta but there is a good chance. Research some of the streamlight models. Mine cost 108 shipped from amazon and does the job perfectly.

One thing to look at on weapon lite is that it has a screw that goes completely across to the other clamp side. I bought one that just clamps on the edges of the rail with no cross screw. No matter how tight you make it, it loosens and slides forward on the rail during practice. Not a good thing.

Another thing to remember is weapon lights can cause major wear on your aluminum frame guns rail if the lights mount is also metal.

Do you guys happen to know what the mount on the Surefire X300 is made of? I have heard it's polymer.

Surefire X300 is aluminum. Insight M3/M6 is polymer. I don't know what the Streamlight TLR-1 is made of.

I have a TLR-1 on my M9A1. No problems with the light. Locks up tight by just using your hands. No play while mounted.
