I have what I think is a simple question. I have a CZ 75 BD and I want to change the sights. I am confusing the heck out of myself looking around an reading up. I don't need anything fancy or adjustable, I'm not a competition shooter but I have done and an doing quite a bit of training courses and decided to make this my primary side arm. Can someone point me in the direction is either a simple set of night sights or some basic larger for sights. Ive been on google and havnt found much. Thanks.

I'm not sure you're aware, but those two parts of your statement are contradictorynight sights or bigger dots, but nothing...confusing...because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment

Yup. They are the OEM night sights from CZ also. The sp01's come with them already installed. They have the white ring for full light shooting.
I will say though, they arent "large" dots though. Bout the same as the OEM.Sandstorm Custom Rifle Slings : Custom Paracord slings

I'm not confused, I'm just mentioning that what you want to add is contradictory.
You said you wanted
1. "night sights or bigger dots".
2. Then you added, "but nothing adjustable or confusing"
These two statements are contradictory
Three dot sights have proven to be slower to perceive as aligned...because they confuse perception and require a conscious componentLast edited by 9mmepiphany; 03-18-2013, 5:28 PM....because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment

Go with night sights. The SP-01 does come with them standard and they are easy to shoot in both low light and daylight.
Not sure if anyone has done this but it would be cool to do night sight in front and a competition rear sight. In complete dark (if you were EVER in a position to have to do this), three glow in the dark dots could be confusing to get the front sight in between two rear dots. try it, its harder than you think. Even with that said, night sights are still great. The other option is fiberoptic, but this could also be difficult in low light conditions. Great in the day though...
and to cap it off, you should NOT be shooting at something you don't see and don't know what the potential background is either. learn from the south african guy who says he thought it was a "burglar" behind the bathroom door.
use a flashlight!

Competition shooter or not, I highly recommend going with a black rear sight. If for home defense, paired with a front night sight.
I like the CZ custom competition rear sight. Do your research about pairing sight heights before you buy.Comment

Hi-Viz. Added them to my 75b and LOVE them. Super bright and very fast to acquire.

Since this thread is on sights, any of you install the CZ custom slide rack/C-more STS sight mount? Just ordered the LPA version for my Shadow Target. Which STS to get 3.5 moa or 7 moa for 25 to 50yrds?Last edited by CAGLS; 03-18-2013, 10:59 PM.Comment
