Brought my 4506 a month ago off of calguns.net with 3 magazines in good shape for $450 found it late at night, also found a stanless steel 44 magnum on here for $300 all the good buys come at night.Comment

Man Ben if u found one at that price u did alright. Just looked at 5 on auction sites and the least was a bid start at $575.-, GunsAmerica has two, one at $700.- and $900.-, the one at Bullseye is consignment and an offer could be made.Comment

I don't know why some gun company hasn't decided to start remaking the big old heavy metal guns, as they are selling pretty good. I am not sure how the polymer or plastic guns will last over the course of 20 to 30 years.Comment

I agree, before this craziness hit, i was going to sell my two polymer guns and go all steel, but with all this registration talk i'm standing pat and waiting to see what happens. That 4506 is hefty but felt good in my hands, but having just purchased a S&W 1911 Stainless i really have no need for it.Comment

I've wanted a 4506 since I first hefted one back in the 80's. Couple fo years ago I actually had money down on one that appeared to be almost unfired. Cancelled & bought a nine for the wife. Turned out I coulda had both.
I would be surprised if one didn't sell for $800 right now. 4506/4566 don't come up very often because owners tend to keep 'em.
