Old Baby Browning .25 question...

So, my father has kept it a secret as hes not too fond of firearms, and he has his good reasons... that being said, i guess his mom had a Baby Browning .25 and he has kept it since she passed, and my old man is 65 now. i have yet to lay eyes on it, but i am curious as to whats the worst i can expect when a day comes where it passes into my hands, as far as condition, and leading into another question, how would one go about securing the inheritance of a firearm as i am the only one he wants to leave that to. Since he's "not too fond of firearms", why doesn't he just give it to you now?

Plan B is he puts it in a trust and specifically leaves it to you. But even that is iffy, because anyone could take it when he dies, a nurse, a neighbor, a sibling of yours or of his, his wife or his girlfriend.

Ask him to transfer it to you now. Once you have custody of it clean it and post pictures here. It may be old enough to be C&R and good magazines are available.
