    Sig Saur P238---comments??

I'm considering a Sig P238 for my wife as she is not happy with her S&W 432pd's trigger. Upsides and down sides? Trigger pull? Hows it shoot? Decent sights? Thanks

I have the 238 and 938. It has a single action trigger that is good and night sights. It is very accurate for its size. I have not had any problems with either.

My son has one and I carried his for awhile as my CCW. It was the Rosewood model. Very accurate and reliable. Lots of fun to shoot although a tad expensive. The holster market was a little light, but more are becoming available now. The sights were very good. The trigger was a bit stiff, but became a lot nicer with dry fire and live fire.

When my son took it back I carried a Walther PPK for a while and found it felt like a heavy lead weight compared to the P238. I then carried a Colt Govt .380 and it carried better although it weighed about the same as the PPK.

Downside; Tough to find...Thats about it.

i bought one for my wife 2 tone with rosewood grips and it came with a extra 7rd mag with the extionsion on it.(good luck finding this modle) she loves it and is pretty accurate with it, me on the other hand cant hit the broad side of a barn with it. she cant hit anything with my 1911 and im dead accurate with it. i am sending it back to sig for the way it ejects the brass. it sends it all over the place including your face lol.

Excellent little gun. Among the pocket guns, it probably has the best sights and best trigger. Many come with factory night sights.

The caveats are that it's single action only, and so you have to be comfortable carrying cocked and locked. And, of course, it's a .380. To me, carrying cocked and locked is safer than cocked and not locked, which is a way one could describe LCPs and Glock-style.
