why do I want a 10mm?

M&P 10 got me excited just thinking about it! how about an M&P 460, chambered and ready from the factory for that monster of a cartridge. I'm considering getting a glock 21 gen 4 and having lone wolf cut a barrel for 460 rowland (an extra $50) and putting that on my carry permit instead of my 10mm. an even 1000ft lbs would sure be nice when in bear country on a long hike.

I have a 10mm G20 that is great fun. I drop in a Lone Wolf 10mm-to-40cal conversion barrel when I want a down-loaded round.

However, if you have some 45 ACP guns, consider upgrading those to take 45 Super loads. You can get brass at Starline. The upgrade is much cheaper than buying another gun. The cases have the same outer dimension as the ACP, so you don't need to change barrels or extractors. With 1911's, the upgrade is really easy. 45 Super when loaded up hot is a very powerful round.

You can already have an M&P 45 converted to .460 Rowland. Wild West Guns in Alaska does the conversion as well as a couple other places.

My personal reason to get one is if I'm going camping or something with the family. People do go missing in the wilderness under STRANGE circumstances..not animal (a known animal anyways) related, possibly not even 'people' related.

If 10mm ammo was just a little bit cheaper...a little easier to obtain....and if Springfield Armory makes a 10mm or Glock (I like the $500 price tag) adds another safety (e.g. grip safety....peace of mind for someone like me), I would pick one up in a heartbeat!
