    Thanks beerman. I'm a hybrid collector/shooter as well and I think it's fair not to shoot "safe queens". To each their own and I have that luxury, not to mention I believe it's an investment.

          As I understand it S&W didn't have the flash chrome triggers & hammers in every configuration. If you wanted something different you might have gotten the case hardened.

              Very nice, good find also! I'm always looking for a S&W Mdl 27 with a 5 inch barrel. I passed on one a few years back but never again if I see a good one.

                The -3 have the chrome trigger and hammer, -4 hardened. That's how I understand it.
