    magazine spring?

    how often magazine spring and follower need to be replaced?
    when to range and notices that two of my magazine not locking-up when last bullet fire.
    do leaving magazine loaded cause the this. 1911a1 9mm

    Have you disassembled the mags and cleaned them before? Might help.

      No, leaving the magazines loaded will NOT wear the springs out. Compression and expansion (actual use of the magazine) will wear it out.

      I've only replaced my magazine springs once, but that is because I bought the mags used and did not know the age or level of use they saw.


      To answer your question: it depends on how often you shoot. you can play it safe and swap them annually, if you'd like (but that's probably overkill)

        yup, clean it and still same, i even swapped the spring to make sure the that's the problem and it is.

          Note: when cleaning you will NOT need to use oil or any type of lubricant inside the magazine.

          All I do when cleaning my mags is disassemble, wipe the parts down with a rag and reassemble.
