Fill out this form and send in w/ payment
Info on large-cap mags:
If there are any handguns you want to buy that are not on the CA-approved list, get them now. You can bring in non-listed handguns when moving in.

you sure about that code33? I was under the impression that unless you had the mags before 2000 and already in CA then you couldn't import them in.Comment

If you do move here, I reccomend purchasing some Uzi pistol receivers..
They cost $60 in free states and if you decide that they are not your 'cup of tea' when you get to CA, you can sell them (legally) for upwards of $250 eachComment

Correct. You had to own them IN CALIFORNIA and BEFORE 1/1/2000 for them to be able to be possessed in or reimported to CA. It does NOT matter if the owner was a CA resident or not; he could've purchased them at a Pomona gunshow in (say) 1985 while visiting/traveling to CA, moved outta state for 20 years, and then moved back to CA.

You can not bring the Regular Capacity mags with you. They can only come with the 10 round of less mags.
If yo live here and had them prior to the ban, then you can have them.I think it can be confirmed that an alien xenomorph is absolutely no match for good ole' Alabama black snake!

Just send me the guns and I will dispose of them for you. Don't forget to include all the ammo you have.

Seriously, just pick up some 10 round mags and say nothing about anything.
pay the fee to reg. them in this state and go on with life. Or better yet don't move here and live in a free state.sigpic

First, welcome to forum and thanks for deciding to move to California. We can always use another 2nd Amendment supporter here in Cali!
I'm afraid that it is unlawful for you to bring in any of your magazines that hold over 10 rounds (yes, I know, it sucks!).
The pistols are fine, just be sure to register them with the Cali Dept. of Justice like Code33 said.
As for your Mini-14, that should be fine so long as it doesn't have a Flash Suppressor OR Folding/Telescoping Stock OR Thumbhole Stock OR a Stock W/ Pistol Grip. Any ONE of those things on a Mini-14 makes it a Assault Weapon under Cali law. If you do have one or all of those things on your Mini, just remove it and you're good to go.Comment

Unless you're a dealer, you couldn't import handguns into CA for sale.
But if you happened to have multiple copies of some things that aren't available for sale here, and had some upcoming expenses; you could sell them (following our laws) to someone here.
I'm hoping you move to OC and have extras of some of the new Rugers that you no longer want.Comment
